The small square paintings echoes what we see in the lower part of the large paintings. With this parallel series, I wanted to further continue my exploration of the perception of the body allowing me essentially to deepen a visual expression based on the felt experience of the body rather than our predominant seen experience of it. This series also invites me to put in question the depth and imperious quality of what is perceived visually. For example, the eyes closed, without creating an image of the body but rather sensing it, what is the experience of this "body", where does it start and where does it end? In these explorations, the body is perceived from within, like a fluid mass, a space with indefinite boundaries.
